Chief Architect Marc Camens began his architectural career in the commercial industry, which is where he learned how to listen to and interpret the wants and needs of his clients. Over the years, Camens has designed everything from homes to churches. One of his favorite projects was a cheese plant, and he uses this project to explain his entire approach to design. That is, in order to design a cheese plant, one must learn how to make cheese.
After taking a five-week vacation to Seabrook Island in 1998, Marc moved his 18-year-old architectural practice from the Adirondacks to the South Carolina Lowcountry where he has been designing homes up and down the East Coast and Tuscany, Italy ever since.
